ABOUT THE ACADEMY

  • Flourish Academy is a small, nurturing learning community that blends aspects of homeschool and traditional school. It operates as a homeschool tutorial , providing academic instruction, hands-on project-based learning, and play-based experiences in a multi-age, supportive environment.

  • Flourish Academy is not an accredited or independent school. It is a homeschool tutorial, offering licensed teachers, consistent routines, and classroom-style instruction. Students remain homeschooled while benefiting from the structure and community of Flourish Academy.

  • Parents are responsible for their child’s education, as students enrolled at Flourish Academy remain homeschooled. Families are required to operate under an umbrella school that legally oversees the child’s education. Flourish Academy serves as an instructional support and learning partner within this framework.

  • An umbrella school is a Tennessee-recognized organization that provides legal oversight for homeschool families by handling required enrollment and recordkeeping with the state. Families enrolled at Flourish Academy are required to homeschool under an umbrella school, while Flourish Academy supports instruction and learning within that framework.

  • We accept children who are age 5 by August 1st through fifth grade.

  • Flourish Academy emphasizes the whole child—academically, socially, and emotionally. Small class sizes, licensed teachers, project-based learning, and a warm, small-schoolhouse environment allow students to grow with confidence, independence, and creativity.

ENROLLMENT & ACCEPTANCE

  • Families begin by submitting an enrollment form. Flourish Academy may review previous academic or behavioral records during the enrollment process. Families will receive formal notification of acceptance once the process is complete.

  • No. Flourish Academy reserves the right to review previous academic or behavioral records to better understand a child’s learning history and needs, but providing them is not mandatory.

  • Yes. Students are expected to demonstrate respect, cooperation, and responsibility. All students and families sign a behavior contract upon the start of the school year. Consequences may be implemented if expectations are not met, and Flourish Academy reserves the right to dismiss a student if behavioral issues persist or interfere with learning or safety.

  • Yes. Enrollment at Flourish Academy requires a full academic-year commitment to ensure consistency and stability within the learning community.

  • Yes. Flourish Academy admits students of any race, color, religion, national or ethnic origin to all rights, privileges, programs, and activities offered.

DAILY SCHEDULE & PROGRAMS

  • Our academic day runs from 9:00 AM – 2:00 PM with drop-off beginning at 8:30 AM. We follow the Tullahoma City School calendar for our academic year schedule.

  • Enrichment Fridays focuses on hands-on, creative, and collaborative learning experiences. Activities are posted at the beginning of each month, and families register and pay in advance. We welcome all homeschool students for Enrichment Fridays, not just Flourish Academy students.

  • Each day includes arrival and morning settling, a community meeting, academic instruction, breaks, lunch and social time, play-based learning, and reflection and dismissal preparation.

TUITION & FEES

  • Supply Fee: $350 (non-refundable, due after acceptance)

    Part-Time Tuition: $400 per month (August–May, due on the 1st)

    Full-Time Tuition: $750 per month (August–May, due on the 1st)

    Enrichment Fridays: $50 per session, paid at least one week prior

  • Yes. The first child pays full tuition, and additional children receive a 10% tuition discount.

MISCELLANEOUS

  • Flourish Academy operates in an older home with a small schoolhouse feel, creating a warm, welcoming environment where students of different ages learn and grow together.

  • All teachers at Flourish Academy are licensed educators and are CPR certified.
