Flourish Academy is committed to providing a small, nurturing, and inclusive learning environment where students can grow academically, socially, and emotionally. Our acceptance policy ensures that each child is placed in a program that supports their individual learning needs while maintaining alignment with our philosophy of hands-on, project-based, and child-centered education. Acceptance is based on the child’s readiness for the program, family partnership in learning, and the Academy’s capacity to provide appropriate support.
ACCEPTANCE POLICY
AGE & GRADE PLACEMENT
Children must be age 5 by August 1st to enter kindergarten.
The program accepts students through fifth grade.
Age and grade placement are considered in alignment with readiness and developmental appropriateness.
Flourish Academy reserves the right to review previous academic and behavioral records (if applicable) to better understand a child’s learning history and needs.
This may include report cards, assessments, individualized learning plans, or behavioral reports from prior educational settings.
Families may be asked to provide additional information as part of this review process, but it is not mandatory.
RECORDS
NOTIFICATION OF ACCEPTANCE
Families will receive formal notification of acceptance once their child is accepted into the tutorial.
Accepted students will be provided with an enrollment packet including forms, policies, instructions for enrollment confirmation, the behavior contract, and acknowledgment of the one-year family commitment.
NON-DISCRIMINATION POLICY

Students are expected to demonstrate respect, cooperation, and responsibility toward peers, teachers, and the learning environment. Our goal is to help children develop self-regulation, empathy, and positive social skills that support both academic and personal growth.
POSITIVE BEHAVIOR SUPPORT APPROACH
Flourish Academy uses a positive behavior support approach to guide students toward constructive social interactions and personal responsibility. Teachers provide clear expectations, gentle guidance, and developmentally appropriate interventions to help students understand their choices and build strong character. Our approach emphasizes teaching and modeling appropriate behavior rather than punishment.
